High above Lake Baldegg with stunning views over the lake and surrounding hills, this charming restaurant offers authentic regional Swiss cuisine. Expect classic favorites such as juicy cordon bleu, traditional Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, crispy rösti, seasonal game dishes, fresh salads, and delicious homemade desserts – all prepared with care and generosity. The spacious terrace is a highlight on sunny days, ideal for enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful lake panorama. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and traditional. Friendly and attentive service (often family-run), child-friendly, and dog-friendly.
Our New Favourite Spot for Casual Enjoyment. Anita and Thomas Steenaerts have turned this place into a welcoming, relaxed bistro. You can enjoy good drinks (beer, wine, and cocktails), tasty small plates, snacks, and homemade specialties in a laid-back atmosphere. Whether you drop in for a quick after-work beer, a light meal, or just to soak up the friendly mood – you’ll immediately feel comfortable here. Centrally located with warm service and no pretension, it’s the perfect spot for a casual evening or as a nice meeting place. Since it opened, it has quickly become a true gem for the village. They serve excellent premium coffee prepared on a professional Italian Cimbali machine, along with fresh homemade burgers and tasty daily menus. Everything is also available for takeaway. The renovated historic building has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, the service is warm and friendly, and in summer the beautiful garden terrace is perfect for sitting outside and people-watching. Whether it’s weekend brunch, a quick lunch, coffee and cake, or a relaxed evening drink – you’ll immediately feel at home here. Highly recommended for uncomplicated, genuine pleasure!
